More personal information
I have excellent knowledge and experience of therapeutic approaches such as humanistic, psycho-dynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have been offering CBT therapy since 2012, then in 2018 trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I grew up in Italy, within an evangelical Catholic community dedicated to missionary work, and then moved to the UK in 2006. I love to experience various cultures, life viewpoints and faith traditions.
My life experiences, studies and practice have developed my commitment, empathy and perseverance. For example, I have shared houses with other students from around the world, I am married with young children, I have worked in my professional capacity in prisons, for charities and in the private sector. I enjoy spending my free time doing sport, art and outdoor activities like walking and gardening.
I have a passion for mental health prevention, not just cure, for sustainable living/behaviours, for a renewed sacrality/respect of the body with healthy embodied self-identity including intimacy and sexuality, and for holistic wellbeing.
